Winter Post

So as as I said in my “Fall Post” I don’t have a favorite season. They’re all such beautiful seasons and I can’t just pick one that I love. Now that fall is over, even though it feels like spring over here since it’s 60 degrees. As soon as December starts you automatically think snow, snow and winter. So what is Winter?

Winter means time to bring out those marshmallow jackets because the weather is officially not your friend. Your fingers will get cold, but you don’t notice it because you can see your breath when you open your mouth. You get to wear the cute fuzzy socks that are buried in your sock drawer.

The cold sort of gives us a home feeling.

Because of the cold of the outside we can bundle up inside. When you go to bed you can pile yourself with warm blankets and just receive that “home” feeling. Have that cup of hot chocolate and sit by the fire.

There’s a certain cold breeze in the air and chill in the night that depicts winter with a smell.

Winter is so beautiful. I think that’s why it’s called a winter wonderland. The snow falling is so magical, like something out of a story book. Looking out the window seeing the snow pile up makes it all the more magical. I love that there’s so much we can do in the snow. Snowball fights, snow angels, sledding. Winter calls out to the inner kid inside of you.

Winter is a cold season, but it’s also really warm.

Winter Quote: “Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark on a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour.” –John Boswell
